1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using CDFU Connect ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. About CDFU Connect

CDFU Connect is operated by Communication for Development Foundation Uganda (CDFU), a Ugandan-based Development Communications Non-Governmental Organisation established in 2002. The Platform provides community forums, information about our programs, and a way to support our mission.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account

4. Acceptable Use

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

• Post content that is abusive, threatening, obscene, or defamatory
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other accounts
• Distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content
• Violate any applicable laws of Uganda or international law

5. Community Forum Guidelines

Our community forums are spaces for constructive discussion. Users must:

• Treat other members with respect and dignity
• Stay on topic within forum categories
• Not share personal health information of others without consent
• Report inappropriate content to moderators

CDFU reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove content and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including text, images, logos, and design elements, is the property of CDFU or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. User-generated content remains the property of the respective users, but by posting on the Platform, you grant CDFU a non-exclusive license to display and distribute such content within the Platform.

7. Donations

Donations made through the Platform are voluntary and processed through secure third-party payment providers. CDFU will provide receipts for all donations. Refund requests should be directed to info@cdfu.or.ug.

8. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. CDFU does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform. Information provided on the Platform, including health information, is for educational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

CDFU shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

10. Changes to Terms

CDFU may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
